Antônio Queiroz, presidente da ABML
De acordo com o presidente da ABML, Antônio Batista de Queiroz, o evento reveste-se de grande importância para os profissionais de todos os ramos da Medicina Legal. Além da relevância dos temas que serão debatidos, está prevista na programação da jornada o aprofundamento das discussões com vista à fusão da ABML e SBPM, que deverá ser concretizada no próximo congresso, a ser realizado em 2012.
“É importante que haja a participação de todos os colegas, pois a ocasião marcará o coroamento de dois anos de discussões entre a ABML e a SBPM com a finalidade juntar a duas em uma só entidade”, reforçou Antônio Queiroz.
A 2ª Jornada de Medicina Legal e Perícias Médicas acontecerá nos dias 03 e 04 de junho, em João Pessoa (PB), em local a ser definido.
SOBRE A FUSÃO – A fusão ABML e SBPM foi aprovada pelas assembléias das duas categorias. No caso dos Médicos Legistas, a aprovação aconteceu por ocasião do XXI Congresso Brasileiro de Medicina Legal, realizado em Cuiabá (MT) em outubro do ano passado.
Os dirigentes de ambas as entidades são unânimes quanto à idéia de que a fusão proporcionará um avanço na atuação técnico-científica na área e um crescimento significativo no que diz respeito à representação dos membros.
